Two new European Capitals of Culture for 2017

Aarhus and Pafos have taken up the title of European Capital of Culture for 2017. The cultural programme will officially begin on January 21st in Aarhus. The opening ceremony for Pafos 2017 will take place on January 28th, with Christos Stylianides, commissioner for humanitarian aid and crisis management, and Nicos Anastasiades, president of Cyprus in attendance.

Antigua & Barbuda breaks US visitor record in 2016

Antigua & Barbuda ended 2016 on a high note by celebrating the arrival of the 100,000th US Visitor in the year, for the first time in recorded arrivals history. This milestone was a crowning achievement in a banner year for tourism that included announcing multiple new properties, the re-opening of Pineapple Beach Club, and the breaking of ground on new projects including a Marriott Autograph property.
