Mayor Rahm Emanuel has announced that visitors to Chicago in 2016 reached 54.1 million – a new record and 2.9 percent increase over the previous year’s record performance. The increase of 1.5 million visitors moves the city closer to reaching the mayor’s goal of 55 million visitors.
